Web Panels vs. Surveys

Web Panels are sponsored by the parent company. These panels are looking for consumer opinions and feedback and are almost always limited to the number of users they accept. The difference between Web Panels and Surveys are that most of the panels require you to log in once a week and give feedback as needed. Survey companies are more relaxed as when you choose to participate. The reason is that Web Panels are much more selective in whom they accept (some panels limit the participation to only 150 users) and survey companies send surveys based on demographics and usually accept all that apply.
Whereas survey companies have set reward structures, the reward structure is very different from panel to panel. Some panels reward with samples, exclusive product tests, coupons, or a total cash gift. After you are accepted into the panel, the reward structure will be explained in more detail depending on the company.
Also, survey companies last well, forever, and elite web panels can last as short as a month to a year or longer. The best paying ones are the shorter length ones and fill up fast. If you see a chance to join an elite web panel – do it quick!
