Rent-a-center is a ripoff.
Firstly, rent-a-center targets individuals who have bad credit, lower incomes and most likely financially unstable.
By target this consumer group, they can rent their products out and either repossess and rents the products out again and again or rent-a-center will charge ridiculous purchase prices such as:
- $6,594 for a used television
$3,585 for a refrigerator
$4,073 for a laptop computer
- WalletPop
That is a completely INSANE amount of money to spend on these lower end and sometimes used items.
And only 25% of customers complete the payment schedule and end up owning the items that they are renting.
That fact alone tells you that something is VERY WRONG. Rent-a-center is not out to help anyone but themselves.
It makes me so nutty to think of all the people being ripped off by rent-a-center.
