Our Getting Started Guide

Before you do any offers, there are some things I want to make clear.
- If you are looking to get rich overnight, I’m sorry, there is nothing out there that is FREE and LEGIT that will give you that – you will waste time and money trying to find anything like that.
- This is not a job. There is no way to predict how much you will make day to day. It is extra income.
Things I wish someone told me at the beginning:
Be patient. At the start, you may feel like you are getting nowhere. The first few weeks are the longest and crappiest. You play games, get points and do some offers and it gets to the point that you feel like you are doing it all for nothing. And then, when the road looks the darkest…the first email and check comes in. At first, they are $1-$5 dollars sporadically, but then you get paid more and more often – and finally the big one comes and you are hooked. It happens to all of us.
Sign up for a free phone number. This will prevent spam calls if you accidentally give your information to a offending company. This is good for any company you don’t want calling you.
Create a new email address. This new email address should only be used for your extra income and will need to have a corresponding Paypal address for payment. If you have an existing Paypal payment address, just add your new email to it. If not, you’ll want to sign up because many companies pay via PayPal.
Organize the email interface. I really, really advocate using Gmail because of the labels, filters, and star features that can be used. If you smartly choose Gmail – you can create labels for: – “Pay2Try”, “Surveys”, “Search”, “Games”, Emails$”, “Login Info”, “Rewards”, “Proof of Completion” … those are just my suggestions. Then, filter your incoming mail to those new labels and there you go.
Feeling Froggy?
- You can also use filters to forward emails you want to get in your main inbox. For example, you can have all emails with the words “new games” that are sent to your new email forwarded to your main email address using filters. The new email addresses purpose is to eliminate junk mail from bring received at your main email address.
Have Firefox and IE installed and up to date on your computer. Some sites require that you use IE only. Also, if you have Firefox, install the “AutoFill” plugin and configure it with your personal details. When properly configured, Autofill will fill out any web form with a click of the mouse. If you are an advanced user – the FireFox “UserAgent” tool is a great way to cloak multiple browsers.
Use bookmarks. If you don’t use bookmarks, start. This is the easiest way to keep track of the sites. There are some sites that won’t email you when the site updates. I have mine all divided into parent / sub folders such as: “Daily Visits”, “Contest Entries”, and “Come Back” – (sites I stumble upon that I want to check out more or sign up for) Etc, etc..
Getting organized and started is the hardest part for most people but, in no way is it necessary to participate. Especially i f you are only doing one program, that’s how I started, but if you want to join more in the futue – getting organized now could help you in the long run.
PERSONAL INFORMATION:
List of Information I NEVER give to any site I use to make money on:
- Social Security Number
- Credit Card Info
- Mother’s Maiden name or any other common verification information
- Employer address, phone number, etc.
You will come across links on this site that will want you to try offers and get paid. These are great ways to get money online, but the sites I feature have FREE OFFERS in addition to trial offers, you can fill out to get money and I really advocate doing the FREE OFFERS. I strongly suggest not doing any offers that want you to try services (trying Blockbuster, Netflix, Book Clubs, etc..), using your credit card. Even though these offers pay good money, if you forget to cancel to trial – you will get hit with charges.
Be VERY VERY careful when entering your cell phone number in forms. At WebFloss, when a site is reviewed, I always include the fine print / terms regarding the sites policies on this and other common scams. But, while casually browsing, you may accidentally sign up for a $19.99/mth add on feature from some company in Bangladesh just for entering your cell phone number! Always read the fine print
Finally:
Make money online doing things you enjoy.
Do you like giving your opinion?
- Try surveys or sites that pay you to write reviews.
Online gamer?
Lazy as hell?
- Try reading emails for cash or sites that reward you for performing searches.
Those are the basics.
