Greenfield is a scam survey review

Greenfield Online – amartin@greenfield.com

Ah, the downfall of GreenField Online…. This one went from bad to worse.

First GreenField Online was just a bait and switch company, meaning that, you would receive an email stating you had qualified for a survey, you’d click and take the survey and justttt when you where getting ready to complete the survey, you’d be disqualified.

GreenField Online would get the information they needed to get paid from the company you were taking the survey for and then claim you were “disqualified”,20-30 minutes LATER.

Since December 2008, our tester has received:

  • 26 invites to take surveys.
  • Taken all 26
  • Made to the end of 4
  • Paid $13
  • Total time approx: 520 minutes

Unlike other companies, at GreenField Online you have a better chance of winning the sweeps, then having even a fair time:payout ratio.

Think it couldn’t get any worse? Now that the company is under “new ownership”, the email spam has been multiplying. These new emails from GreenField Online are “offers” to join spammy sites and other related garbage.

I am new to your site, and have found many good suggestions. I have been taking surveys for about 3 yrs., and have made out fairly well. I am in the process of weeding out some of the ones that are not worth my time, as I do every few months when I have the time. I’ll let you know my experience with good and bad ones, if you like. One thing I wanted to add to one of your posts about worthless ones; you mentioned OTX as one to stay away from. I agree wholeheartedly. They are also going by Opinion Sphere the last few months. So everyone should take note. Anyway, thanks for all your helpful tips and advice. Julie Mills

Greenfield are actually the holding company (in the US) for at least two surveys-for-cash/vouchers:
TolunaUK and CiaoUK surveys. Both are either criminally incompetent or the worst kind of conmen running ruthless scams to 1000s of respondents.

There’s only one solution, so read carefully ALL you Toluna and Ciao players:

WHETHER THEY OWE YOU MONEY/VOUCHERS OR NOT,
IF WE ALL GET TOGETHER AND NEVER REPLY TO A SINGLE ‘SURVEY’
FOR THE NEST SIX MONTHS, I’M SURE WE’LL GET RESULTS!!!

BUT WE REALLY MUST ACT ALL TOGETHER — JUST A FEW REBELS WON’T DO.
MAKE IT YOUIR MISSION EVERYONE AND SCREW THEM BACK. IT’S SO SATISFYING.

You got it. Join as many sites as you can. Most will only end up sending one survey a week. And disregard all surveys that make you buy something to get paid for the survey.

No question you have to diversify- and widely! You cannot rely on any one site to make you money.
