March 10th is Great Energy Efficiency Day, so if you haven’t switched over to ENERGY STAR qualified compact fluorescent lights (CFL), it’s a good day to switch!

Not only are CFL bulbs more “green friendly”, but CFL bulbs SAVE money. According to the EnergyStar site:

An ENERGY STAR qualified compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) will save about $30 over its lifetime and pay for itself in about 6 months. It uses 75 percent less energy and lasts about 10 times longer than an incandescent bulb.

Then, take the EnergyStar Pledge and pledge to save energy and help fight global warming by replacing at least ONE standard bulb with a CFL!
