This mysterious logo appeared on the Google.com homepage randomly a few hours ago.
The filename of the image at Google is: http://www.google.com/logos/go_gle.gif — There is an “o” missing!!!
The plot thickens….
When you click the link you are sent to a search for the words “unexplained phenomenon ….
Even more strange is a tweet on the Google Twitter page: ” 1.12.12 25.15.21.18 15 1.18.5 2.5.12.15.14.7 20.15 21.19 ( with a link to: ) This Twitpic
The cryptic numerical sequence translates to: “All Your o Are Belong To Us”.
The translation is a reference to: “All your base are belongs to us” which was a popular internet meme based on a mistranslation.
My theories:
Wasn’t Google incorporated on September 4th/5th 1998?
Isn’t “googol” 10/100 the light years required to reach our galactic neighbor or vice versa?
The Andromenda cannibal heading our way?
Related to, 32 years ago, Voyager 1, the first unmanned probes looking for signs of life on other planets was launched?
Some sort of social experiment?
Explaining the recent random outage of Gmail?
