SEARS CAMPUS READY

Going back to college can be tough on the wallet for students. Here are a few ways to save money at college.

- Join a study group that meets around mealtimes then order out and split the cost between everyone. ( Don’t forget your coupons )

- Get a reload-able Sears Gift Card and have your whole family contribute a small amount for extra spending money. The Sears Gift Cards can be purchased in store then reloaded with funds online, in a store, or in a student shop at the local Sears and Kmart stores.

- Take your student identification card with you EVERYWHERE and find out where you can use your card to get discounts. Many businesses offer great discounts for college students. Even if a student discount is not advertised, don’t hesitate to ask if there’s one available.

- Instead of spending money on the local night scene, check out FREE campus-based events instead. Colleges offer many events almost daily to keep you occupied and most have FREE FOOD.

- Befriend someone in a nearby culinary school. Even if the cooking might not be perfect yet, you’ll never be short of a meal. Hey, the students have to do something with all those leftovers. :D

- Pay your bills. Late fees can add up quick and with some at $35 per incident, no one can afford to let those start adding up.

Sears has even more ways to save money and get ready for college this fall over at Sears CampusReady on Facebook along with a great application that has some great features.

Sears CampusReady Facebook application has an awesome 3D Room Designer.

Check out the virtual dorm I created with the Campus Ready Facebook application below :D

There is also a Gift Center, where you can add everything you can imagine to your gift list for your dorm. Plus, many of the items available in the Gift Center can be added to your virtual 3D room so you can create the most uber cool dorm EVER and then share it with your friends on Facebook.

Sears CampusReady Facebook application also has an awesome 17 question Roommate Match Quiz. You can invite your new Roommate to take the compatibility quiz with you, to see how good (or bad…) of a match you both are.
