Febreze Home Collection Giveaway

The new Febreze Home Collection. Ends on October 16th!

When I first seen the new Febreze Home Collection, I was skeptical. The Home Collection didn’t appear to have my style. I like simplicity and bold colors – the Febreze Home Collection products I seen were more busy and earthy. But I learned long ago not to judge a book by it’s cover, or a product by it’s packaging in this case…

I received the following from MyBlogSpark to try and review: From the Herbal line: Green Tea & Citrus Scented Reed Diffusers, Soy Blend Candle, and Room Spray. And the Flameless Luminarie, in 4 different scents. Plus a $20 Walmart giftcard to give to one of my lucky readers!

First let me start by saying, I wasn’t aware Green Tea was an actually scent. I thought it was just a hot beverage. I thought I’d try the room spray first, so I got ready, aimed and …nothing. This is the FIRST Room Spray that I have used that has a lock/unlock feature. After unlocking it and spraying, I was pleasantly surprised that the Green Tea and Citrus scent combo was amazing, like nothing I have ever ever experienced with a room spray. I can’t even explain it. But I loved it!

Next, I was ready to test the Flameless Luminarie. Besides learning that Green Tea was a scent I also learned what a Flameless Luminarie was. I assumed some sort of mock-candle, and was not really even close. The Flameless Luminarie has a square base, is battery operated and releases scent through different refillable “shades”.

The scents I received were: Cranberry Pear, Pomegranate Mango, Green Tea Citrus and the only scent I wouldn’t want to drink: Willow Blossom. I decided to test the Willow Blossom. The shade had a rice paper look and feel and was mighty fragrant. After turning it to the on position, I most definitely seem flickering, just like a candle, hence the name: Flameless Luminarie! My concern lies with the fact that even the Willow Blossom shade was mighty fragrant, how long would scent last for?! The flickering part of the Flameless Luminarie, did not heat up like I thought it would for some reason, so I assume the shade is made out of a special material that retains the scent, because it did last for one week ( a bit longer actually ) as promised. Out of all the products this was my least favorite for my home and decor.

The Soy Blend Candle was awesome. When the candle started to burn, there wasn’t any smokey smell that I was experienced with other scented candles, the scent was bold and long lasting. The one thing I wasn’t thrilled about was a small, but a bothersome film that was left around the clear glass as the candle burnt. For some reason, it really bothered me.

Let me start by saying, that I don’t read the directions to products which may be due to arrogance, but I like to think it’s because a product should be user friendly. With that being said, I move on to the Scented Reed Diffusers. I unscrewed the top of the scented oil and was met with rubbery stopper, which resulted in an “uh oh” from me and a quick glance at the instructions. By the appearance of the stopper I wasn’t sure if I was meant to jab the reeds through it, or remove it all together. So… after I *ahem* removed it all together and then added the reeds I thought to myself “Now what?”. Do I light the reeds on fire? They looked like they wanted to be lit. But apparently, there is no need for that because the reeds absorb the oil and diffuse the scent in the air! That’s pretty nifty. It takes a little time for the scent to start to release, but it was worth the wait! The Green Tea and Citrus scent light, but constant.

All the products described above, come in the following types of scents:

* Herbal
* Fruity & Refreshing
* Natural
* Seasonal

I really enjoyed testing the new Febreze Home Collection because the products might never found there way into my home on their own, but now, I will definitely be adding this collection to my home and of course, I will be taking advantage of the great savings offers from Febreze as well!

Flameless Luminarie would be my choice. It looks pretty and I hate those clunky looking ones.

Angela October 13, 2009 at 8:16 AM

After looking at the Febreze Home Collection for quite some time, it was a very hard choice. I am a frequent user of Febreze products because we have pets and I know their products are wonderful. With the fall weather upon us right now, I think I would like to try the Autumn Spice and Crisp scented candles. These sound wonderful and I love autumn. I think this would get me in the mood for halloween. I could use several of these to set around for a halloween party to get my guests in the autumn mood and set a soft glow for the party.

pomegranate!

Jennifer October 10, 2009 at 7:54 PM

I would have to say that I would love to try their soy based candles. I have found from other companies that they seem to have a very nice and long lasting scent. I would love to see how they would compare. If I had my chose of smells, I would have to go with the green tea and citrus. But, I believe they also have a new scent out for Christmas called Vanilla Frost.

Brian October 10, 2009 at 6:59 PM

I would likely try the pomegranet scent. That one sounds interesting.

Sally October 10, 2009 at 5:43 PM
