I am introducing an exclusive series of money saving tips on WebFloss.com. Your kooky admin will not post “cut coupons” or “stop eating out”, I will never waste your time with the obvious. <3
The first tip is: Don’t be scared to touch the merchandise.
You aren’t 5 anymore.
I’ll give you an example. I was in Target today looking for a new vacuum. I didn’t want to spend more then $100. I made my way over to the vacuum section and was met by a women in her late 30′s who must of spent 3 hours just getting ready to go vacuuming shopping – hair, nails, pink jogging suit all flawlessly matching… She was speaking with an associate about the new Dyson Ball, not sure if she was willing to dish out the $500 asking price. She had the associate demonstrate how the new Dyson Ball works. Meanwhile, I am waiting patiently, hoping they have a model in my price range. Finally, she decides to go for it, has the associate load a box in her cart, and heads to the checkout to buy the $500 Dyson Ball vacuum. Slightly jealous, but not deterred on finding a new vacuum, I go over to the displays and start “test driving” the floor models – hey, that’s what they are there for right?! I was feeling froggy, so I took down the Dyson Ball and right before I was ready to go to town with my test drive, I noticed a bright orange sticker on the side…
Was: $499 Now: $119
The issue? NO BOX. Manuals, attachments, etc, were all there – it wasn’t even USED.
How did they BOTH miss this??
Moral is: Don’t be the chick in the pink jogging suit.
This is one of the hundreds of deals I have found by just moving an item. Especially, when it comes to clearance, which is usually located in one heap on some random end cap or bin. Don’t be scared to dig through that pile! Just don’t leave it a bigger mess then when you first found it ;)

I remember you telling this story a good while back! I found a dyson at big lots and had to use a % off coupon. I ended up paying $250.00 with tax. I thought about the deal you lucked out on when I bought it.
That’s a great find on the Dyson!!! And yes, you are right, this was an earlier blog post from awhile ago LOL! I’ve been trying to update a few older posts that aren’t really time sensitive and I am glad I did now, because I got to hear about your great find! And it was a very, very lucky find on my part, but it’s one of the ones that helps me ignore any odd looks I get as I plunder through the clearance !! :D
