Coupon Printer Scam Questions

Many sites that offer coupons require that you download “Coupon Printer” software in order to print the coupons.
Live Interface of example Coupons.com:
In order to print any of the above coupons, you are required to install the printer.
Why? Here is the simplest explanation.
Companies, understandably, do not want 100’s of coupons being printed out by a single person and at a the same time, the coupons must be in a format that registers can scan properly. To solve this, the coupon printer software, when installed, will assign your computer an ID so that you can only print out one coupon per offer AND also assigns you an unique code for that coupon so that you cannot duplicate the coupon.
Sites that are verified as having safe safe Coupon Printers:
Coupons.com – “Bricks” in the Coupon Community – ( TrustE Verification )
Filename: couponprinter.exe / FileSize: 1.2 MB
Other sites like, Betty Crocker, will have the Coupons.com Coupon Printer available to download directly from the site. As long as the part of the URL to the download page ENDS with: coupons.com, I’d trust it.
For example (these are STRICTLY examples only!):
GOOD: http://printers.coupons.com/whatever or http://printingcoupons.coupons.com/whatever… etc
BAD: http://couponscom.printstuff.com/whatever or http://couponprinter.couponstuff.com/whatever… etc
If in doubt, head to the main site and download from there.
