Cash 4 Gold Scam

Cash for Gold is to Jewelry Appraisal like Moonshine is to Napa Vally.

The jewelry you send is appraised by hand, a magnifying glass, a small scale, and chemicals that were most likely bought wholesale. Most likely in a small room by a former janitor who qualified for the job because if chemicals used to appraise the jewelry end up causing him health problems, Cash for Gold can state it was an existing condition from his former job.

Your payment gets dated within 24 hrs of testing your jewelry but might not get sent out for days later… Why is this…?

The 100% Satisfaction Guarantee states that the guarantee / to be able to get your jewelry back you must contact Cash for Gold within 10 DAYS from when your check is DATED. And if you want your payment in “FAST CASH” (direct deposit) forget about getting your money back EVER. When you sign up for “FAST CASH” you sign your rights to the guarantee away as well.

Checks start at 0.01 cents.

The $100 insurance cover $100. meaning if you send in $300 worth of jewelry and it mysteriously gets “lost” in the mail, you get $100 and Cash for Gold net a $200 profit.

Also, you are unable to add additional insurance on the free bag Cash for Gold sends you. You’d have to ship it at your own expense.

Let me put it another way.

Me and 5 other people get together and form “CashForButtons” we pool together enough money to spam the TV and Internet with ads. Say, it cost us $100,000 dollars.

Because of the bad economy and spamming, 500 people send in 5 buttons each. The buttons are worth $100 each to us. That’s $250k in buttons sent. We then pay you 1/4 of their worth at $25 each for a total of: $62,500. We are already making profit.

See how it works?

Businesses are out to make profit. PERIOD.

Don’t be surprised when you get a measly check for Grandma’s engagement ring…

Thanks for warning about this.
It seems to me like so many of this type of companies are just preying on people at there most vulnerable.

I sold my gold to captaincashforgold.com and was really pleasantly surprised. I received a insured FEDEX return package, not one of those untrackable postage envelopes. I received a check of $186 a week after I sent in my gold after being offered only $85-$140 range from a couple of local jewelry and pawn shops. I would definitely recommend to give them a try!

cash for gold are not a scam, there are some hindrances to the program.as stated before, the 2-Up plan is not ideal for forming team synergy. most sponsors are going to want to have the benefit of training their member and then earning off of their efforts as well.

I have recently launched a new Website to help those looking to sell scrap gold, we have build our own custom ” True Value Scrap Gold Calculator” that will estimate the actual true value of your gold before you sell so you will have a better idea what to expect before putting it all in a jiffy bag and posting it off, ” I cant believe people actualy do that!”. You will find other usefull information to help you determin the value of your gold ,so do yourself a favour and take a quick look, I would appreciate some feedback on the Website if thats OK with WebFloss.

I always recommend going to your local jeweler for stuff like this, (a master jeweler, if you can find one). They consistently pay more for scrap gold than these disreputable places.

SoFlossy,

You said “Web designers do not own a businesses domain name that they do work on”
but yes they can – I work for a company that sometimes purchases domains for customers prior to the web design and then just bills them the amount we paid – as we can get a discount, thus giving them a better deal…

You can get a domain name for just a few bucks all day, every day and most of them are FREE with hosting plans — there is nothing premium about scrap4cash or whatever the domain name was to make is cost more $, so, to give someone complete control over your domain name to save — maybe a dollar or two — is just plain out reckless. I just don’t roll like that.

I would strongly suggest checking out the Silver and Gold Exchange before selling gold or silver to ANYONE. I did a great deal of research, online and offline, and learned a lot about this business. I checked pawn shops, jewelers, “gold parties”, hotel “buying events as well as the online buyers, including the “as seen on tv” guys. I found that the Silver and Gold Exchange paid more than anyone else I could find. I liked the fact that they post the prices they pay per gram (beware of the places that quote in pennyweight/DWT) on a live price chart at Silver and Gold Exchange I also checked out their Better Business Bureau report and found they have never had a single complaint as opposed to HUNDREDS of complaints some other companies have! I recommend them 100%

It’s not my business but I did work on their website for them, AND I used them as a customer. And yes, I was very happy with the experience. Nothing shady.

That’s fine, understand, that my readers come first always.

You say it’s not your business, yet you own the domain.

Web designers do not own a businesses domain name that they do work on, I have been developing sites for over 10 years.

It all depends on who you use. I know lots of people who got scammed by cash4gold.com. I used http://www.xxxx.com and was VERY happy with the result. Their website lists a comparison chart where you can see how much more they pay than all the other cash 4 gold companies.

See, I had to edit this comment because you claimed that you used this service, yet YOUR last blog post was from that site. See how that doesn’t add up?

If you didn’t go about this all shady and just said this is my business, this is what we do, etc, I would of kept your link in.

Feel free to re-comment. ;)
